Kermi switches to SAP S/4HANA

Kermi GmbH, based in Plattling, Germany, has been relying on digital innovations for years to make its business processes more efficient and future-proof. As a leading manufacturer of heating and ventilation systems and high-quality shower enclosures, the company pursues a clear strategy: leveraging digitalization as a success factor. 

The switch to SAP S/4HANA was a key step in this strategy – but the conversion of the old SAP ERP system brought with it a number of unexpected challenges. Despite everything, Kermi successfully completed the project – on time and on budget. 

 

The success factors of the conversion

Kermi relied on a clear roadmap that was developed in close cooperation with T.CON. Key challenges were identified in the preliminary analysis and a step-by-step migration plan was drawn up. The first milestone was the database migration to SAP HANA and the introduction of the central business partner (SAP Business Partner). An initial SAP S/4HANA test system was then set up and further developed in several iterations.
